Many new things are happening in the Life of the Wiechel's. As many of you know we are expecting our first child in June! We are so excited, and can't wait to meet this little one. From the background change (something happened and I lost all my old posts, at least the wording, when I changed the background) anyway from the background, you may have guessed that we are expecting a boy!
We had our ultra sound on January 21st and our technician was 99% sure it was a boy. We are anxiously awaiting his arrival, but there is still so much to do before he comes! Our nursery needs to be repainted, and we are hoping to renovate our bathroom before then too. All this while Matt is taking two classes towards earning his MBA from Western Michigan University. After this semester he will be about 1/3 of the way there!
I have also started a new job, and I am loving it. The work environment has been a very good change from where I was before. I enjoy going to work everyday and the days go by quickly. The interaction I have with people is great, and has increased from my last job which I love. Matt and I are also very thankful that we each have steady full time jobs at this time. I know there are many people out there struggling with finding jobs and making ends meet.
Hopefully I will be able to post some ultra sound pictures and Baby Bump pictures soon!

life
once again life has gotten away from me. matt and i have been crazy busy.
we bought a house! yeah! we are very excited about this new chapter in our lives. we will close on may 20 and get possession on june 20. i can't wait to get into it and make it home for us. we will be a lot closer to some good friends and one of our new favorite restaurants! in the mean time we are busy trying to clean out our half of the duplex and get it back into rentable condition. this has been very difficult as our free time continues to become filled with time spent with friends and family.
this past weekend i spent in traverse city with the hobbs, helping with misty's wedding. it was a beautiful wedding with many personal touchs to it. including the 12 homemade cakes that were made and decorated by rachael with the help of the master flour sifter reilly. once the big task of making and decorating these cakes we had the daunting task of transporting all these cakes a half hour away to the reception hall. i am pleased to say that even with the curvy roads and quick speeds of our driver, we made it with out any catastrophes.
jill went back to work this week and dear sweet litte emma has gotten to spend some good quality time with gramma wiechel this week. next week until the end of the school year aunt annie gets to take over the babysitting duties. all this means is a full hose for matt and i, which is great, we can use the extra hands to help us pack!
already half of our summer is filled and is going to fly by. i can't even believe it is may already! this august we will celebrate three years of marriage! these three years have gone by so quickly and i can't wait to see what God has in store for us next!

sun
even though it snowed last yesterday, and it is suppose to snow tomorrow....the sun is back in almost full force!
spring is almost here. i can't wait for the warmer weather. spring is amazing in michigan, after everyone has been hiberbating inside all winter long it is great to see people emerging from their homes to spend time in the great outdoors. i love seeing people out walking, running, ride bikes, and playing outside with their friends and family.
soon the deadness of winter will come back to life. the trees will start budding, the flowers will be blooming, and the birds will be singing. i love walking out to my car in the morning with the cool crisp air of spring. it is so refreshing.
this weekend i get to babysit micah and it is suppose to be sunny and 40. a bit on the cool side, but i think if i bundle him up, i will be able to take him for a walk!
tonight matt and i are meeting with a mortgage broker to discuss our finacial situtation as we are starting the journey of house hunting. i am so excited for this new step in our life. we have found quite a few houses we want to look at, and hopefully if all goes well we will be moving this summer! any takers on helping us move....?
enjoy the sun today!

The newest member of the Wiechel family will be here soon! Jill is getting induced to night and I can't wait to meet this mystery baby!
PYG had a retreat this past weekend and it we had a great time bonding with the group and refocusing on God.
Spring is upon us, and I am loving it!
The duplex is rented, or almost rented, we have someone signing a lease tonight!
This is all for now, I will post pictures later of the new baby and of the retreat.

a birthday and a birthdate
mom turned 50 yesterday. she still looks great. we celebrated her birthday with a wonderful steak dinner complete with some amazing birthday cake.

amy had a check up yesterday and everything looks great. the doctors scheduled her c-section and now micah has a birthdate, january 15th at 7:30am. we are so excited!
we also celebrated christmas with the 6 of us.....

matt zwiep got lots of tools this year thanks to us women battling the black friday crowds.
he was like a boy in a candy store.

dad got crafty this year. he bought a picture frame and framed a few pictures of matt and i and matt and amy. mom had no idea he could be so crafty!

dad will always be a little boy at heart.....he got a table top hockey game for christmas. there was some (or a lot) of assembly required, and we don't have all the right players, but he is still happy with the gift.

finally it was time to play....

look at that concentration!
