new mexico v. michigan

fall in new mexico is nothing compared to fall in michigan. while i spent an entire fall season in new mexico, i craved the color changing trees and the fall skies michigan had to offer. So much so, my grandma got wind of this and collected leaves, sprayed them so they wodn't wilt and sent me an entire show box full of leaves. below are some picture from exactly three years ago yesterday and today when calvin had their academic advising and matt came to visit.

pyramid (Left) and church (right) rock

we would often hike to the top of pyramid rock and enjoy the view from above, and the many beatiful sunsets

our hike to the top

we made it!

back in time...

It was three years ago this fall that I spend my semester in New Mexico. The semester was amazing and we took some very cool trips around the 4 corners region. Almost 3 years ago today, give or take a few days, we spent our evening attending a rodeo. Those involved were all college age.

Finally Fall...?

I sure hope so! I am very sick of this HOT and HUMID weather we are having! It should not be 80+ degrees and humid on the 8th of October. I have heard so many people say, "isn't this weather great" "wow we are lucky to have such nice weather in October" Sick. I don't even like this weather in July. Who wants it to be so hot and sticky out that even just walking to your car makes you sweat? Not this girl.

Terri DeBoer says the weather should cool off by the end of the week and stay cool. Boy I sure hope she is right! 60 degree weather, no humidity, who doesn't want that? How can i bake an apple pie, enjoy the colors outside, go apple picking, when it is to hot to turn the oven on, to hot to be outside enjoying the color changes, and to hot to be out picking apples.

I am done with this weather.

The Office

I only wish my working life was as exciting as the lives of those at Dunder-Mifflin in Scranton, PA selling paper.

Tonight is the season premiere and I am so excited to spend my night with Michael, Jim, Pam, Dwight and the rest of the gang.

TGIF

Thank Goodness It's Friday!

TGIF got me thinking about the many friday nights I sat in front of the TV with my family for the amazing 2 hours block of 4 shows known as TGIF. In its prime day, TGIF was host to many amazing shows such as:
Full House

Family Matters

Step by Step

Sabrina the Teenage Witch

Hangin' with Mr. Cooper

and of course my favorite:

Boy Meets World

Those were the days....

Have a great weekend!
